Meet Julia and learn about the mission of Ananda Experience
My story
For most of my life, I felt invisible.
Like my voice didn’t matter.
I never quite fit into my family, my schools, or any workplace.
No matter how hard I tried, I felt like an outlier. Someone built for a world that didn’t have a place for me.
That longing to belong shaped everything. I spent years searching for connection, for someone to finally say, “You’re enough and worthy.”
But that same hunger for love and acceptance led me into darkness. When I was young, my uncle took advantage of my innocence in ways no child should ever experience. As a result, I was left shattered and confused, carrying a pain too big for words.
So I ran. I moved across countries hoping the distance would make the pain go away. And for a while, it worked. Until I lost my father at 58 and everything I had buried came rushing to the surface. The anger, the loneliness, the heartbreak.
At 22, I confronted my abuser, thinking justice would bring me peace. Instead, I faced blame and disbelief from the people I thought would protect me. As I was sinking deeper and deeper into my misery, I hit rock bottom. I sobbed uncontrollably. I saw myself shattering into little pieces. And in the middle of that, a voice emerged in my head saying "I will build us back even stronger. And no one will be able to hurt you again." So I built a thick wall in my mind. A filter for all the psychological tricks and manipulation.
That wall kept me safe for years but it also kept me disconnected and isolated. I could perform, achieve, and succeed, but inside I was still running from the pain I refused to feel.
Coming home to my Self
It wasn’t until I discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic healing that everything began to shift.
I was still carrying all the pain of the past. In my mind buried deep in my subconscious. In my body in the form of migraines, hip tightness, and digestive issues. It was all there hurting me every day.
Through years of therapy, meditation, yoga, and nervous system healing, I slowly started to release all the trauma trapped inside me. I started to meet all the parts of me who suffered through these experiences, and the ones who kept me alive through the years.
I began to soften and feel more compassion towards myself and others around me.
I finally learned to give myself the love I had always been seeking.
And slowly, I started to come home to myself that felt grounded, present, and whole.
The mission of Ananda Experience
Today, I live with a deep sense of peace and purpose. I no longer chase belonging, I help create it. In my work, my relationships, and the communities and organizations I’m part of.
That journey reshaped how I live, love, and lead. And it became the foundation of the work I now do with others.
I know what it’s like to feel unseen. To carry unspoken tension beneath competence. To navigate change that holds both discomfort and the possibility for growth.
I’ve lived and worked across multiple countries and cultures.
I’ve changed careers, led teams, and built businesses.
I’ve been an employee inside complex systems and dynamics.
Each chapter brought uncertainty and an invitation to grow into a more grounded, self-aware version of myself.
Through those experiences, I learned that purpose emerges when people feel seen, trusted, and supported as individuals and within the systems they belong to.
That belief now guides my work.
I support people and organizations in developing self-leadership, clarity, and connection, the conditions that allow individuals to thrive and teams to perform.
My work isn’t about fixing people. It’s about helping individuals, leaders, and teams reconnect with what’s already there so they can live, work, and lead from a place of wholeness.
